I'd like to do something with SaneAsylum again, but I still don't know what. I can clean it up a bit, make it look as pictured above, sprinkle in some WebterJAX 3.0 or whatever... but then what? Back to the same old same old? I'm not looking forward to moderating comments again. Or facilitating the destruction of relationships.

This isn't really so much a cry for help as publicly muttering to myself on my own site. If you've got ideas, well then post 'em. Otherwise I'm just going to think on it for a while longer.

In my ongoing search for an identity for SaneAsylum, I googled the phrase "SaneAsylum Is". This is what came back:

Although it didn't so much burn out as nearly fade away. I posted several interesting articles (at least I thought so) in the waning days, and after posting the "Save the Internet" article, I decided to see how long the site went without any comments or new articles. It became depressing after 6 months. I look forward to posting new articles and engaging in whatever banter is going on in the future.

	Please, please bring back the forum. I need some form of contact with right thinking people, or even left thinking people. Mainly just thinkers would be nice. Thereis no conversation where I am, unless I want to talk about the weather. A monotonus topic because the weather down here never changes.

The problem with having a conversation with thinking people (right or left) is that emotions always get involved and feelings get hurt. That's what shook SA to it's foundation previously. Aaron will remake it, but I think there needs to be intelligent discussion about a veriety of topics without feeling like you are attacking or being attacked. Statements like "You're a fool to think that way." or worse ones should not be OK.

People have to be entitled to state their opinions. If someone states an opinion about you that is negitive just remember that its only his opinion, not as you say an "attack". Actually it only shows that the poster has a limited intellect and was so challenged by your comment that he could only respond with a negitive personal comment. Do I think that we should refrain from such comments? Yes of course, but do I think that they should not be aloud to submit them? No I say that smacks of censorship, and I don't think the internet is anyplace for that sort of thing.
